John Rolfe
John Rolfe was a settler in Jamestown who married the Native American, Pocahontas. Their marriage was not only the first interracial union in Virginia, but also a seal on the peace settlement which ended the First Anglo-Powhatan War of 1614. This fits into foreign and domestic policy and disenfranchised groups because Rolfe worked to minimize fighting between Natives and settlers.
