Background

(1609 - 1610) The starving time was in the colony of Virginia during the winter of 1609-10. Only sixty of the four hundred settlers survived this time because there was not enough food for people. People were extremely desperate and inhumane acts occurred such as a man killing his wife in order to eat her.  Ew?
